NYC

Over the Memorial Day weekend, we (Claudette,Dee and I) visited NYC. We had forgotten how wonderful the Big Apple is. There is no shortage of things to do and places to eat. I must say the highlight of the weekend was seeing the play Fela (pronounced Fay-la). It was a musical and dance production like no other on Broadway. It had the energy of a James Brown concert and the artistry of an Alvin Ailey production. After Fela, Broadway has been transformed permanently for the better. It won't be long for other creative urban productions to hit the Great White Way.
